This module facilitates the management of various versions of a requirement, of a work instruction or a standard operating procedure (SOP), or of a requirement profile. It is closely linked with the management of “Effective dates”. You will need this module, if you intend to use SkillCon 2010 for the management of SOPs or other training, over and above simple training events, or if you intend to manage documents that are governed by a revision management process.
It will automatically calculate consequences and the measures resulting from a new version, (e.g. necessary acknowledgements), without any further steps having to be taken. You would need to manually process adjustments, like updating requirements profiles or revision of assignments, without this module – but with the module, changes such as these are a mere breeze.
